Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working along side Babcock Naval Marine in order to recruit 6 Senior Project Engineers to work on long term contract WFH / Plymouth.
As a Senior Project Engineer your responsibilities and duties will include:

Overall Department Direction
The Major Infrastructure Projects Business Unit has been set up to establish and maintain a Strategic Infrastructure Plan for the Devonport site through to at least 2050 and to safely and effectively deliver the ‘major’ capital works projects that result from the Plan. 
The role sits within the 10 Dock Astute Project.  Currently there is a vacancy for a Senior Project Engineer in the M&E Services & Mechanical Handling project team.  The focus of this role will be managing the delivery of new Refit Support Equipment (RSE) and Portable Ship Support Equipment (PSSE) through all design phases and ultimately manufacture and commissioning.
 
Main Purpose of Role
To provide a project management function delivering the package of work to Time / Cost / Quality.  Assisting the technical and project teams in development of requirements, project scope and solutions for specific work packages.
Translate supply chain reporting into useable data to inform planning, monitoring and control of work packages.
Provide input to cost and budget monitoring.
Develop Stakeholder management and communications plans.
Contribute to the risk process including the identification, assessment, planning and implementation of risks, opportunities and issues.
Examples of 10 Dock systems being delivered within the RSE & PSSE packages:
Prop shaft removal system / gantry
Hydroplane removal system / frames
Ship access structures
Significant ship equipment lifting frames
 
Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competences
The candidate must have demonstrable experience of project management with mechanical systems / structures.
Experience of delivery on a Nuclear Licensed site or with Nuclear safety implicated equipment or services would be preferable.
Experience using:
NEC 4 contracts
CEMAR - (desirable)
MS Project
Buildings Information Management (BIM) - (desirable)
Proficient in MS office suite
Capable of being SC cleared
