Senior Project Engineer - Exciting long term contract in Nuclear industry based at Dounreay

The Role:
Our client requires a Senior Project Engineer for nuclear projects at Dounreay in Thurso, Scotland (Highlands), to manage and deliver the engineering process, providing technical oversight and engineering quality. You will lead allocated packages of the Dounreay Fast Reactor Irradiated Fuel Cave clean-up project located within the Dounreay Prototype Fast Reactor complex and the Cave readiness project.  As Senior Project Engineer, you will act as the client’s representative throughout the project life cycle. Duties include scoping and definition of the works, pre-contract and post-contract management and close out of the works. 
You will be responsible for ensuring that the DSRL safety envelope (Safety, Environmental, Quality and Security) is maintained at all times and you will coordinate the activity between facility owner/operator and the specific works activities and contractor. 

DSRL is the site licence company responsible for the clean-up and demolition of Britain’s former centre of fast reactor research and development. They aim to provide successful decommissioning of a complex nuclear site, based in Thurso, Scotland.

The Candidate:
You must be a Senior Project Engineer with a minimum of 5 years project delivery experience.
You should be educated to degree standard or equivalent. 
You will have a minimum of 5 years nuclear industry experience.
You must have previous experience in an engineering design, operations, construction or quality role, ideally gained in a large and complex multi-disciplinary environment. 
You will have experience as clients’ field representative or senior project representative.
