Senior Project Manager: 7mth contract, £445.0/day, MOD/Ships  
Key Skills: Project Manager, Defence Industry and/or MOD exp essential. SC level min required

The Role: 
Senior Project Manager MSS to work within the MOD Marine Support Systems area which delivers reliable, affordable and sustainable maritime platform equipment support to ensure equipment is safe, available and capable to support the fleet. 
Planning, scheduling and management of mps activity and lines of development associated with the MSCIP programme. Management of MPS risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies and opportunities.
Duties will include: 
You will take responsibility for the definition; documentation and safe execution of a single major project or a number of smaller initiatives; actively participating in all phases of the project. 
You will identify; assesses and manage risks to the success of the project. 
You will effectively estimate costs; timescales and resource requirements for the successful delivery of the project(s) to agree terms of reference. 
Ensure that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and track all activities against the plan; providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders; as appropriate. 
You will monitor and forecast costs; timescales and resources used; and take action where these deviate from agreed tolerances. 
You will ensure that delivered systems are implemented within these criteria. 

The Candidate: 
As a Senior Project Manager you will have extensive experience of working within a major business change/transformation programme and be able to apply a wide range of skills, knowledge & experience to define, implement and embed business changes. You will have strong analytical, report writing and problem solving skills. 
Previous experience of working within the Defence Industry and/or MOD required. 
You will be qualified to HNC/Degree level with a PM qualification
