Senior Safety Engineer - Bristol - £30-£45/hr - Contract 6 months+

Our client, Babcock Naval Marine, based at Keynsham, are looking to recruit a Senior Safety Engineer to work on a contract basis for initially 6 months.
The role involves and your duties may include:
Safety Cases, Safety & Environmental Management Systems and providing safety and risk management expertise to the MoD.
Support the SSG Safety Engineering Manager in the management of SSG project delivery, including task/project identification, definition, delivery, budget management and cost control and stakeholder liaison.
Assess and provide advice to the MoD on submarine material state issues by way of the production of submarine Safety Summary Reports.
Delivery of safety engineering outputs, participating in activities in areas such as design change, Naval Authority Certification and safety assessment of submarine systems and equipment.
Provide technical review of contracted outputs.
You will be an experienced Safety Engineer.
Ideally you will be Degree or Chartered Engineer although lower qualifications will be considered if you have the right experience.
You will have excellent communication skills both written and oral.
You will need to be Security Cleared / hold Security Clearance.
Ideally you will have experience of submarine systems with an appropriate background in submarine design, support or operations.
You will have experience of the application of Safety and Risk management techniques.
Experience in the application of the requirements of JSP 430/ Def Stan 00-56 or similar methodologies.
