The Role:
Our client requires a Senior Transport Planner on a permanent basis to work within the Guildford Transportation team, providing technical support on traffic/highways schemes. You will assist with analyses relating to transport planning projects including database, spreadsheet and proprietary modelling coding and interrogation. You will be required to prepare technical reports and presentations relating to the project and you will participate in the resolution of technical issues. As Senior Transport Planner, you will work to make sure that the traffic modelling component of the project comes within budget and deadline.

The Candidate:
You will be a Senior Transport Planner with experience of modelling using SATURN OR VISUM.
You must be a BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering and ideally a post-graduate qualification in Transportation.
You will have an understanding of GIS applications, databases and spreadsheet programs, preferably with some knowledge of VBA programming.
You must have solid work experience undertaking traffic modelling, in particular assignment modelling.
You should have experience of writing and presenting technical reports and liaising with clients.
You should have strong mathematical capabilities and knowledge of UK transport policies, organisation and governance.
