Technical Author; 9 Months+ Contract;  Keynsham Nr Bristol; Rate Neg to £35.0/hour

The Role:
Technical Author required to be responsible for constructing procedural documents for all class of UK submarines and surface ships, both in-service and future platforms. 
You will be responsible for producing manuals for the operation of all systems and equipment, including services, weapons, and combat systems. 
Interpreting technical engineering information from engineering teams and key stakeholders. 
Liaising with stakeholders to resolve all issues and risks associated with procedural documentation. 
Interpreting design definitions and taking associated knowledge through the production life cycle.
Presenting finished documentation to committees for approval.

The Candidate:
You will have experience/background gained on submarines or surface ships, either from an operator/ maintainer background or from a test & commissioning environment/background.   
You will be an ideally have previous experience of technical writing/authoring although this is not essential. 
You must be a good team player, who is also able to work unsupervised. You must be a confident communicator, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.
