Overview:
Wilde Recruitment Ltd are working along side BB BEP in order to recruit a Technical Clerk to work on a 12 month contract in Warrington.
As a Technical Clerk your duties and responsibilities will include:
Project Description The BEP Joint Venture project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants, carried out in line with the Employer’s needs and to the satisfaction of stakeholders in the Box Encapsulation Project (BEP).
Job Description / Role Technical Clerk reporting to the Materials Manager.
Assisting the Materials Management & Expediting Team obtain up to date engineering data for the projects material management system, allowing visibility of materials within the supply chain to construction and the project management team.
Activities will include but are not limited to:
Assisting the MM team with obtaining latest ROS dates, planned delivery dates from disciplines and update the material management system to allow the accurate reporting of all materials required for work package installation.
Assist the Expediting team with updating the material management system with sub components not listed on a technical requisition, facilitating the receipt of materials at site.
Preparation of Shipment Control Notifications (SCN’s) to include/maintain phased deliveries, in line with project requirements.
Assist with updating/maintaining work pack & early start dates (ESD’s) in the material management system, allowing visibility of material take-offs for construction.
Generation of material requisitions in the material management system.
Assisting Expediting with the vendor document tracker and chasing documents through document control.
Liaise with the project team to assist with the resolution of supply issues as and when required.
Assist with a data cleanse in JMMS in readiness for transferring to Smart Materials as directed.
Candidate:
Proven track record of working in an engineering environment, interfacing with the engineering disciplines within an EPC environment.
Proficient in the use of a project material management system. Desired but not essential as training can be provided.
Proficient in the use of work front reporting/material availability shortage reporting. Desired but not essential as training can be provided.
The role will require an element of technical competence, be familiar with and be able to understand, interpret engineering drawings, datasheets, specifications & standards etc.
Excellent analytical skills, strong commercial awareness, a measured approach to decision making and the ability to communicate at all levels.
Logical and critical thinker
Attention to detail is essential.
Knowledge of nuclear / oil & Gas technology, engineering and the industry
Excellent standard of English, particularly spelling and grammar
Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel
