Technical Editor; 18 months Contract in London; Rate £Negotiable
KEY SKILLS: Microsoft Word, Proofreading, Technical Documentation


The Role:
As a Technical Editor you will be a member of the editing team, reporting into the Editorial Manager, to proof and format technical documentation to challenging deadlines.

Responsibilities
Format in Microsoft Word following template design, fix formatting issues where required
Provide support to technical authors to fix formatting issues
Consistency check documentation against large terminology library
Work closely with technical authors and editorial manager to agree edits

The Candidate:
Previous experience:
Technical editor with a track record of delivering projects to time and of high quality
Educated to degree standard with a relevant second degree and membership of an appropriate professional body or equivalent work history
Demonstrable experience of working in a major infrastructure project in a similar industry &/or to working in a matrix and dispersed team

Skills
Excellent grammatical English
Exceptional interpersonal skills and personal resilience to working under pressure
Attention to detail, thoroughness
Advanced Microsoft Word and CMS skills
