Thermal Engineer - 10 month contract - £400 day - Rutherford

The Role:
Thermal Engineer required to work at Rutherford - thermal design/analysis for MWI calibration facilities.
Undertake work in accordance with relevant requirement documentation.
Support reviews of requirements as required.
Develop preliminary thermal design, including all necessary analysis and trade-offs.
Develop detailed/reduced thermal model in ESATAN-TMS / Thermica.
Establish thermal interface definitions, budgets, and required thermal hardware.
Prepare thermal engineering inputs to deliverable documentation (e.g. design descriptions, model descriptions, analysis reports, interface documents).
Prepare inputs (presentation material) to reviews and provide support to reviews.

The Candidate:
You will be a Thermal Engineer who can demonstrate thermal space systems engineering experience.
You will have experience of space instrument/craft thermal design and analysis.
Experience of writing project documents for release to customer.
Supporting reviews (presentations, action responses).
Use of ESATAN-TMS and Thermica.
Thermal design/analysis of black body targets.
Ideally you will be degree qualified or a Chartered Engineer with numerous years experience.
BPSS / Disclosure Scotland is essential for this role.
