The Role:
The MoD’s Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) requires a Chartered Town Planner to assist in the management of their built & rural estates, in particular to manage the development of town planning strategies to maximise potential future use, both civilian and military.

Duties will involve:
The successful Chartered Town Planner will;
Develop creative and original planning solutions to satisfy all involved parties.
Negotiate with developers and other professionals, such as surveyors and architects.
Research and analyse data to help inform strategic developments, such as increases in affordable housing provision.
Write reports, often of a complex nature, which make recommendations or explain, detailed regulations.
Use information technology systems such as CAD (computer-aided design) or GIS (geographical information systems.

The Candidate: 
You MUST hold current Security Check (SC) clearance, provided through a previous employer-sponsor whom you have left no greater than 12 months ago.
Be a chartered town planner (Member or Fellow of the Royal Town Planning Institute MRTPI / FRTPI).
