TRAFFIC ENGINEER: 3 Months+ Contract; Kent; Rate c£30 to £35/hour

The Role:
Our Client is seeking an Experienced Traffic Engineer to work ‘in house’ within the Clients Integrated Transport Service.  You will be working with Traffic Regulation Orders and Parking Issues, providing support to various partners such as the Emergency Services and Highways England. 

Duties: 
As a Traffic Engineer your duties will include; undertaking network/traffic management functions including studies, designs and works in to support Local Transport Plan, policies and procedures. 
This will include:
Writing of Temporary and Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders.
Managing the charging of TROs and monitoring the revenue generation, payment, and debt within the TRO process. 
Delivery of minor works schemes, such as signage packages, junction controls, and minor traffic schemes
Providing specialist advice to the streetworks management sub-team.
Providing assistance with the delivery of traffic management capital projects.

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Traffic Engineer qualified ideally to HNC/degree in an appropriate discipline and have the ability to write temporary and permanent traffic order’s
You will Full understanding of TSRGD 2016 and ability to design minor traffic management schemes. 
Experience of having worked in a Highways Traffic Design within a local authority is beneficial with a good understanding of the TRO process and the role of the Highway Authority within this process.
