Traffic Engineer: 12mth + Contracts; Manchester; Rate £Negotiable

The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to work within our clients Traffic and Transportation team providing assistance in the preparation of a number of major and prestigious, cycling and pedestrian schemes; the development of these schemes and other projects from inception through to delivery.

Duties will include: 
·Organising statutory undertakers’ diversions resulting from highways schemes (obtaining quotes, organising payments to stats);
·Liaising with stats and contractors to plan, schedule works around highways works; 
·Organising contractor meetings/ Record keeping stats site works;
·Checking highway drainage designs (clash detection) against proposed diversions/assisting site team when necessary;
·Organising Temporary TROs with legal, agreeing TM and diversion routes with GMRAPS manger on behalf of SMBC/stats contractors;
·Liaising with design team, checking TRO sign designs and schedules prior to contractor issue;
·Instructing legal to advertise TTROs and Permanent TROs;
·Liaison with site team, checking sign/line installations (instructing remedials if incorrect), to ensure all correct TRO signs /lines in place prior to Sealing PTROs;
·Organising mapping of TROs;
·Prepared /Submitted Section 106 applications to United Utilities for sewer connections on behalf of design teams;
·Preparing responses to public enquiries /complaints;

The Candidate:
You will be an experienced Senior Traffic/Highways engineer qualified to HNC/Degree level in a relevant subject.
