Traffic Signals Engineer: excellent contract opportunity in Basingstoke

The Role:
Our client requires a Traffic Signals Engineer to be based in Basingstoke on a contract basis, working on the design and delivery of traffic signal schemes, progressing designs from inception through to implementation. You will support local authority clients in the management, modification and refurbishment of all their ITS assets. You will be predominantly working on traffic signals schemes; however you may be required to work on other junction forms and highway link designs, as well as traffic assessments at various stages of their design life. You will be involved in the TR2500 specification writing and the preparation of TA 84 compliant packages. As Traffic Signals Engineer you will be maintaining accurate project correspondence, meeting agreed deadlines and contributing to providing solutions to problems. 

The Candidate:
You will be a Traffic Signals Engineer with experience in preparation of concept, preliminary and detailed junction designs. 
You must have LinSig system knowledge.
You should be skilled in the production of AutoCAD designs.
You will be able to carry out capacity analysis of junctions, using ARCADY, PICADY, Junctions8, LinSig or Transyt.
You will be skilled at producing signal timings for CFL plans
You should have knowledge of industry standards such as DMRB and TSRGD.
