Transport Planner; Fantastic Permanent opportunity in the Highways sector; based in Warrington

Our client requires a Transport Planner on a permanent basis in Warrington to provide technical support on traffic/highways schemes. You will assist with analyses relating to transport planning projects including database, spreadsheet and proprietary modelling coding and interrogation. You will be required to prepare technical reports and presentations relating to the project and you will participate in the resolution of technical issues. As Transport Planner, you will present information in a clear and professional format, as required for the production of quality GIS outputs.

You will be a Transport Planner, ideally with a MENG/MSc in Transport Planning/Transportation.
You should have a First degree in Civil Engineering and be Chartered (ICE or CIHT) or working towards.
You will have experience in the application of core transport disciplines e.g. demand modelling, matrix estimation, network design and traffic optimization.
You should have knowledge of key transport software Vissim, Visum, and LINSIG or their alternatives Aimsun, Paramics, SATRUN, Sidra or TRANSYT.
You must have excellent communication skills with an ability to write technical reports and knowledge of Excel or C++ or VBA.
