Water Engineer (Flood Management)

We are currently placing Engineers with the Environment Agency and we have received further requests for engineers on North Yorkshires flood protection schemes as follows:-
Key Skills: Flood asset, Flood risk, Rivers, Drainage, Water


The Role:
In this role, you'll provide expertise in flood risk management for the organisation and stakeholders. You'll work closely with communities, Local Authorities and other partners to reduce flood risk. This will involve identifying risk, and working with them to find the most appropriate solutions.
 
Your day to day work may include everything from funding opportunities to planning and consenting issues, data & evidence and community engagement to improving the quality of our local environments through the Water Framework Directive. You'll be able to build strong networks and also be instrumental in sharing best practice with internal and external customers & partners.

The Candidate:
A good understanding of asset failures and be able to overcome the technical challenges in identifying and delivering flood risk solutions. Ideally, you will be a member of a professional body such as ICE or CIWEM.
 You’ll be highly organised and a can do ability to with others in delivering real improvements on the ground
